      About the data

The numbers come from datanerd.tech by Luke Barousse, which tracks data and AI job postings from Google Jobs and extracts the skills each posting asks for. This page covers ten data and AI roles in 80 countries, across all job types.

A skill's share is the number of postings that mention it divided by all postings for the selection. Combinations with fewer than five postings are left out of the source, so small countries can show slightly lower shares. Salaries are medians in US dollars per year; when you combine countries, they are weighted by the number of postings with a salary.
